Why donate to Saint Vincent de Paul?

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supporting the Camas-Washougal, WA community.  We are proud to have 97% percent of our revenue go directly to those living in poverty within this community.  Our method is to contact every person who calls into our hotline.  If we cannot directly help a caller we are able to direct them to someone who can.  We do not discriminate regardless of race, creed or religion.  We see the face of Christ in every person we serve.

Our annual statement comes out every January and is available to the public by contacting our Treasurer via our phone hotline.

Funding

Our funding comes from the generosity of our parishioners and donations made directly to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.  We conduct several drives throughout the year to solicit specific donations from our parishioners to benefit the needy within the Camas-Washougal community including the following:

Every third weekend of the month we collect monetary donations, after all of the masses, directly from St. Thomas Aquinas parishioners.

Other in-kind donations and collections

Ongoing food drives for canned and non-perishable items, which are given to the East County Family Resource Center in Washougal for distribution.  There is always a barrel at the back of the church, located in the vestibule.

Christmas “Giving Tree” donations of gifts items and food,
providing Christmas boxes to needy families within the community.

School supply drive for backpacks, binders, paper, pencils & pens, etc., which are given to ECFRC in Camas, to provide children with a great start for the new school year.
